Engineering - Composite Engineer
Overview
A composites engineer will work with both general manufacturing and product design.
It is essential to have the capacity to improve and develop existing processes,
while also looking to innovate for future solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal
teamwork skills are essential, as Atropos is committed to developing and fostering a driven
and cohesive team.

Work Environment
- Work on-site, full time, in a mixed office and manufacturing environment in St Louis, MO
- Report directly to the Plant Manager
- Work closely with the Product Manager on product engineering
- Coordinate with manufacturing staff
- Assist the on research and new product development
Duties + Responsibilities
- Manage design and development timelines
- Innovate and streamline manufacturing processes
- Model parts with CAD software; and orderly maintain existing and inherited part designs and drawings
- Coordinate with and assist in manufacturing processes
- Support business mechanical design review and evaluations
Qualifications + Skills
- Interpersonal and team coordination skills
- Technical writing capacity
- Proficiency in CAD, FEA, and drafting
- Hands on manufacturing experience
- Skill in logistics and project management
- Desire to learn, self-motivated and driven
- Strong aptitude for problem solving
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office software suite
Experience + Education
- Minimum 4-year university degree or equivalent level of education in composite, mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering
- Experience in industrial manufacturing
- 3+ years of industry experience in mechanical and chemical engineering preferred
- Pultrusion experience ideal
